DJ KEN ON SATURDAYS   Ken started his DJ career twenty years ago spinning in several clubs in Portland Maine. He soon discovered that his passion for music was something that he could share with other people by helping them to dance the night away. Ken has been a DJ through all of the incarnations of dance music. He started out at the tail end of the disco era, and his music evolved right through house, techno, trance, and tribal. The one aspect of dance music that Ken never embraced was music with no vocals. When dance music started to omit vocals, melodies, and harmony's the dance floors started to empty. People love to hear songs that resonate with feeling, they love to sing the words. On any Saturday night that DJ Ken is spinning you may hear the latest diva belting it out and you may also hear one of your old favorites. Ken is currently spinning on Saturday nights at the club he calls home, Mainestreet.

DJ JODEYE

Women's T DJ Jodeye: (pronounced Jo-dye) facilitates our Women's T-dances. Jodeye started DJ'ing in Portsmouth 7 years ago at Desert Hearts before it changed its name to Club 1 North. She started at Maine Street the year it opened and has remained on board since. "Great move...I love it here" says Jodeye. Jodeye says her style is whatever is moving the crowd. She adds, " The reason I DJ, besides a love of the music, is because I like to see people enjoying themselves and there's nothing better than a dance floor full of positive energy."
